The shuttle Atlantis landed at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Friday, ending a mission to deliver spare parts to the International Space Station.
"Atlantis and its crew of seven astronauts ended an 11-day journey with a 9:44 am EST landing," NASA said.
The crew, led by U.S. Astronaut Charles Hobaugh, spent a week at the station, delivering equipment including gyroscopes, thermal control components, and an oxygen tank, and carried out three spacewalks to install devices and conduct repairs.
"The shuttle left the space station 86 percent complete, weighing 759.222 pounds," the statement said.
For the return journey, the crew was joined by ISS flight engineer, Nicole Stott, who had been on board the orbital station for three months.
NASA's next flight to the station will be in February, when Endeavor delivers a module with a glass cupola to view Earth.
