Katy Independent School District Announced at 10 am Thursday morning That all schools will dismiss at Their normal times.
After School and Evening Activities Have Been Canceled, But the YMCA will continue hold ITS Thurs After School Care.
No Decision has Been Made Whether the District Plans Thurs cancel school on Friday.
In an e-mail blast on Thurs parents, the district wrote:
The District's Emergency Management Team has reviewed the latest information from the National Weather Service this morning and based on the Most recent weather reports it Is Not foreseen That There Will Be Any accumulation of snow or ice in the Katy area Prior to the dismissal of school. Such as, there will be no early dismissal today. All the Schools will dismiss at Their normal times.
Extracurricular Activities
-All After School and Evening Activities for Thursday, Feb. 3 Have Been canceled, Including tutorials
-There Will Be YMCA After School Care for Those Participating students in the YMCA program.
The District's Emergency Management Team will be meeting later today, Thurs review the latest weather reports from the National Weather Service and make a Determination as to the status of School for Friday, Feb. 4. It is anticipated That a Decision Will Be Made Prior TO END of the school day.
