ORLANDO, Fla.-Golf superstar Tiger Woods was injured in a car accident early Friday after driving into a Fire Hydrant and a tree around the corner from his Florida home, authorities said.
Mr. Woods pulled out of the driveway of his house in Isleworth, a gated community in Orlando, and then crashed his 2009 Cadillac SUV in front of his next-door neighbor's house at about 2:25 am, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Windermere Police Chief Daniel Saylor said in an interview that one of his officers was first to respond to the accident. They said the officer found Mr. Woods laying on the ground beside his vehicle and his wife crouched over him.
