It was a picture perfect, on time, landing for the space shuttle Atlantis at the Kennedy Space Center at 9:44 Friday morning. It was chilly and clear at NASA's touch-down site at Cape Canaveral. Atlantis and its crew returned to Florida after spending a week at the International Space Station delivering 15 tons of spare parts. Coming home on the shuttle is Astronaut Nicole Stott after 3 months living aboard the space station. Stott is a Clearwater resident and graduate of the University of Central Florida and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach. NASA's next shuttle flight is in February when the shuttle Endeavor is scheduled to deliver more supplies to the orbiting space station. Only five shuttle flights remain before the program is phased out next year.
